Classroom Presentations
Brazos AHEC prepares students and career decision makers for health professions education by providing health career awareness activities. Students are encouraged to seek their education and placement in rural and medically underserved communities in Central Texas. Information is available for both students (k-12) and career changing adults. AHEC staff will come to your school or organization to deliver health career presentations at no cost. Enrichment Programs
Brazos AHEC offers a variety of health career enrichment programs for disadvantaged and underrepresented minorities, including both summer camp coordination and facilitation and organizing health care related field trips. The cost to develop and deliver a program for your school or organization will vary depending upon the type of program.

Career Fairs
Brazos AHEC partners with schools and other organization to provide opportunities for youths. If your school or organization is hosting a career fair, Brazos AHEC would like to join with you in these efforts. Please contact the Brazos AHEC office for more information on career fair participation or coordination.

H.O.T. Jobs (Health Career Opportunities in Texas): A Cool Guide to Health Careers
Texas HOT Jobs is a health career guide provided by the Texas AHECs and their partners. The guide provides information on over 80 different health care careers including job responsibilities, growth outlook, work environments, length of training/requirements, licensure/certification, salary, education programs available, and professional association affiliations. The guide can be obtained by contacting the Brazos AHEC office. www.texashotjobs.org
